Intern Digital Web Designer



  • Using appropriate underlying technologies for website functionality:
    • Full Adobe Suite competence.
    • HTML / CSS.
    • WordPress.
    • Woo Commerce.
  • Translating needs of clients and users into concepts:
    • Must be able to follow client brief as well as take direction from creative head.
    • Must understand how to translate brief requirements to a project.
  • Turning brand into graphics, colors, layout and fonts:
    • Must understand CI requirements and limitations.
    • Must know how to use initiative to create interesting & modern designs while staying within Brand & CI guidelines.
  • Presenting content:
    • Good interpersonal skills and thicker skin than usual are required to work in a lively, opinionated, environment (yes really, this is an Agency not your mom’s kitchen. Constructive criticism is how we all grow).
  • Updating client websites as needed.
  • Must know how to design for Digital Advertising Platforms such as Social Media and GDN.
  • Exceptional creativity and design skills.
  • Remarkable online portfolio – to be sent with CV.
  • A test will be given to shortlisted candidates.


  • Self starter: must be able to manage their own workload.
  • Deadline Driven.
  • Must be available to work overtime when required.
  • Good Sense of humour – Don’t take yourself too seriously.
  • Not easily offended (as said, this is an Agency not mom’s kitchen)
  • Must be able to work in a diverse open plan environment.
  • Be able to focus on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Fast Learner.
  • Work well under pressure.
  • Take pride in their work.
  • Good administrative skills.
  • Own, reliable, Transport.
  • Own, reliable, Laptop. MacBook preferred but not the be all and end all (even though our designers believe otherwise)
  • Must be available during work hours for at least 3 of the 5 days a week.

  • This is a paid position – we don’t expect freebies, we expect performance. You will be treated like any other team-member and that’s a better experience for you in the long-run, anyway.

  • We prefer a “NO BS” approach to our work. We don’t get it right 100% but then we are honest enough to admit it. If you are a “NO BS” kind of person then talk with us. If you are frequently kidnapped by aliens, if the dog habitually eats your homework or if you often miss days due to some level of intoxication then please do move along . . . we don’t mind a “dop” or two (or five) but work comes first, ne?
